Who We Are

The Beacon Young Adults Group is for adults aged 18 to 30 years of age. We are a friendly community that encourages everyone to grow in their relationship with God, and to support one another in our life journeys. We also have fun! Purpose

The purpose of the group is to:

  • Develop a hunger for God’s Presence
  • Apply God’s Word to daily life
  • Build/deepen a relationship with God
  • Have fun and enjoy being in community

Regular Events

Sunday Mash-Ups: These are held on a Sunday afternoon at church around 4-5 times a term, and are a little bit of everything: worship, creative workshops that use different ways to explore God’s Word, bible studies, food, prayer and fun. We understand that everyone has a different learning style, and we aim to create an environment where everyone can gain a fresh insight into Jesus and what He means for them.

Wednesday Vibe: These are casual get-togethers at NBHD Switch City in Ipswich at 6:00pm (for a schedule of when we’re meeting, please follow us on Instagram). We hang out in a beautiful cafe space that has been generously provided for us by NBHD and Oikos. This is a relaxed environment to chat, play games and build community together.

Pop-Up Prayer: These are pop-up prayer events that will be held around the neighbourhood. We are planning one at a university campus in Term 2 2024. Connect with us for more information.
